A term overview...

Visiting Saatchi and Sebastiao Salgado exhibition :)
First time at RGS!
Sussex Uni and Brighton day out!
Brighton
I have had a busy term first half of the term. Lots of things happened.  I welcomed the new students to school and they have been all very wonderful. At least, I feel I am still doing my job well along and starting to get the handle of lunch duty. I went to Open days at UEA and Sussex, finished off my personal statement after several drafts and completed my bit of my university application. I joined the swim team and swam my very first Meet at Highgate. Others were way better than me but for a first time swimmer like me, at 18, I think I am proud of myself. I ran cross-country and broke my own record last year, coming at 10 of 24 girls at 23 minutes

Who wrote this? (no it wasnt me eventhough I would be the best candidate for this... xD)

. They finally have First aid class after many, many request from me last year and I also attended Sign Language now. We are running the House play, written by our very own amazing writer and things are moving along well.

I felt Half term was overdue. When we break off for half term, I was invited along with 9 other monitors to attend the Old Millhillians’ dinner. I could not go to my sister tonight, it would prove to be too late if I were to leave at 12 with megabus. Thus, I decided to sleep on the bus, heading off to Liverpool. My awesomely-amazing tutor helped me plan my day in Liverpool, suggesting I should go to see the Iron men and also gave me a waterproof pack of maps and train times for Liverpool.

Beautiful painting up there!
Harry Potter - Hogwarts??

The dinner was a great opportunities to make contact and met old Millhillisan to see where they have headed off. Hoon and I were the only two who did not have good enough clothing for the “blacktie event”. It appeared everyone else were very fancy.

Hoon caught me opposite there!
Anyway, I was terribly hungry on that day and because I tried to keep conversation, every bit of time I had to consume my very first fully-western-three-course meals was highly appreciated. Funnily enough, they have sat me and Hoon down with travelled-to-Vietnam table. This man who has been to Vietnam in the 1990s when Vietnam was first opened to the free-market and the other with his daughter backpacking though Southeast Asia. Very interesting conversation was held and I dearly hoped I had kept my manner well. The place was stunning though.

Hoon and I - buddy for the night!
I quickly changed, said my goodbye and thank you for event. I left the evening heading off to Victoria coach station, awaiting for the coach to Liverpool. Once I settled down on the coach, I will just sleep through to the next evening!
