Goodbye Cooking Party!

So as requested by my friends, sis and I cooked Japanese again!
We have became the expert on this and of course, my sis is amazing at her fried sushi and sweet egg.
I also cook my expertise on mushroom with oyster sauce and rolled some sushi and decorated those dishes.

We were so full that we wanted to shoot our eyes straight xD
It was a redonkulous feast!

Happy Birthday Dad!

Happy Birthday to my wonderful dad!
He is the world most wonderful dad to me. He has taught me so many things and he always love me no matter what I do. I wish so much to be there to celebrate his bday with him.

p.s: This was supposed to go up on the 4th of November but due to internet problems I couldn't.

Ocean and Fishes - 100th Posts!

Hola ladies and gentlemen,

I'm so sorry I don't have much to give out to my wonderful blog stalkers except the warmly hello and thank you from these two strange sea creatures.

Saigon Pearl celebrates its International Children's Day. I had to go with mum because it's her work, but I did enjoy a delightful painting session by myself under the hot sun with cookie ice-cream!

Paris Deli again today with Eunice and a person (let's call her M)

A special handmade book order from Eunice arrived in her hand and I received many happy feedback. Serve the customer as God! hahha

Yup yup yup! Good laugh.

And then Eunice and I painted and drew stuff.

I was so inspired to draw and paint again, to make lots and lots of artsy things.

Although, the three of us got stuck in some sort of psycho loops of bad music, and had to declare today as "Bad Covers' day".

Artsy update:

-Currently organising all my past works into little heavy duty envelopes with photos taken for a digital one as well.
-Nearly done with "The 2 Person Book" - a collaboration paintings/drawings with Eunice on a handmade book made by me.
-Going well with "Little Bit" Project.
-Also working on another Art Diary.
-Getting the hang of photoshop. (as you can see!)
-Check out my photos on AISSAIGONPHOTOGRAPHY - I'm updating one every week.
-My apologise to "Post-it" Exhibition at Out2Studio - Eunice and I were going under a very busy and stressful time in the past few weeks with Exams and other school works.

With love to you all on our 100th Ocean and Fishes posts!

Traditional Arts

Going to Ben Thanh market with my mum like usual, I bought this Matryoshka Doll today! I'm loving it! I still remember my first Matryoshka when I was little and I always play with it. Mum gave me a barbie doll and I pulled its head out in one minute (haha I know I'm violent?) But with this Babushka (what I called it), it never was damaged and I've always been amazed with it :) Just one sad thing, I don't know how we lost it...
Babushka is Russian nesting doll if you're wondering.

A little fun video about my new Babushka.
This Babushka is Vietnam made so it's not the same as I remember.

Anyway, along with this Babushka, I bought some Vietnam hand-painted traditional mask.

Isn't it amazing?
Life is wonderful when Art is preserved and kept for everyone to enjoy.
These masks have a tradition, a tell and so I hope you enjoy my post today!

Today was a beautiful day for me. We went out with Ghaidaa family. They are great and also, it was the first time I've ever been into the Muslim mosque. Quite an extraordinary day to be in the mosque and meet muslims... hmm thinking I should be doing my h/w now right?

The After-math of Moon Fest

Me on the day :)

Finally, I find myself some time after finishing my assignment, to write a new post tell you about what I have been up to...

The Mid Autumn Moon Festival was a success night or in other word an "exhausted night". I lost my voice the next day, and my throat hurt terribly. But haha I enjoyed being that crazy though I haven't seen the entire performance but I think they've done a beautiful job, especially the tree! xD I loved that tree!!! The kids from primary and especially the blind kids from Loreto sang beautifully and I've nearly cried listening to this girl amazing voice...

And here is the four greatest tree ever :D I love drawing on their faces and dressing them and making their hairs!!! Oh god how much I love them all :D

So as I have yet manage to upload any pic of the clothing I and Eunice designed. Here it is...

Arent they COOL?
The entire performers at the front and you could see me doing touch up and with a stupid face xDDD
Me working backstage- my friend took this xDD

Of course there will be more photos coming soon I hope :D Anyway, since it is over... I have to get right back into doing my assignment for HSIE and this is the website I've created.

I tried to do some on the rehearsal night but yup someone told me to forget it... and now i'm screwed doing extra work for the weekend... As much as I want to "forget it" I can't earn another bad mark for god sake my report came back very negative :( and I am prepared to have my head chop off pretty soon...

Sorry, being this "too busy" I haven't been drawing much. A dose of inspiration would be good for me?
